When can I enroll in health coverage?
- November 1: Open Enrollment begins.
- December 15: Deadline to enroll for coverage that starts January 1.
- January 15: Open Enrollment ends. Last day to enroll for coverage that starts February 1.
- After January 15, you can only get a health plan if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
You can apply for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) any time of the year.
